You got the answer!

Most likely you already know that whatever you are doing as far as exercise and nutrition are concerned, and whether it is serving you or not. What normally happens is that you are comfortable within that zone; it is easier to say, “that diet doesn’t work,” or that you are too busy to exercise.

AS FAR as FOOD IS CONCERNED:

Think about what your current eating habits are and think about one food that you are regularly choosing that is not good for your body and promotes weight gain. Exactly, you already know that one thing, right? NOW the question is, how can you change your mind from always choosing that bad thing that is not helping you to BE FIT?

So far the best way, in my experience, is by replacing it with a good thing. Since habits are built over time, you will make conscious decisions until your body starts craving that good food that you added to your list, when you removed that bad one.

Please keep in mind that in some cases making bad food choices is the result of imbalanced hormones, high level of stress, or many other conditions that do not help you to make conscious decisions because your body is craving something else, even if your brain wants to make the change.

How can we apply that same idea to exercise? The beauty of exercise is as simple as this. You either take action or you don’t (you either move or you don’t, hahah!). The challenge is to overcome the thoughts of being too busy, intimidated by the gym, not knowing what exercises to do according to your actual fitness level, and as a result, you procrastinate. What’s the solution? Start with what you know best: walking, running, and going up and down the stairs only to create the habits of making the time to create movement in your body. SIMPLE! Right?

My intention today is to help you to become aware by letting you know that you have the basics tools already and by implementing simple strategies that can help you start taking action from where you are right now in this moment.

Let’s say that all the above is still a challenge for you because you have never experienced any of the new ideas I am suggesting. I recommend hiring a personal trainer that truly understands you as a person and can meet your wants and needs; someone that can get to the core of what is really stopping you from taking action today. Being busy is not always the real answer! – Think about this.
